Young people in York can find out more about and apply for a range of apprenticeships in the city at an event to be held on July 11th
The apprenticeship recruitment fair will be held at City of York Council’s head offices at West Offices from 4:30 to 7.00pm on Thursday 11 July.
The aim is to give young people aged 16 to 24 and their parents or carers chance to meet recruiting employers before they leave school, college or sixth form.
Cllr Andrew Waller, Executive Member for Economy and Strategic Planning (including responsibility for apprenticeships), said:
“The Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair has being growing year on year, and once again showcases a wide variety of local employers and training providers who are all keen to recruit apprentices.
“I would encourage young people who are considering their options for the future to come along and speak to some of the employers and find out more about the fantastic opportunities that are available locally.”
One-to-one advice sessions will also be on offer from City of York Council’s Learning and Work Advisers.
Exhibitors include City of York Council, Hiscox, Softbox Limited, McDonald’s York, The Army and many more.
